« Calf Still Swollen | Main | Huba's Father and Dan on 2 Different Side of the World »

A Good Day

We were blessed to have the energy to attend Bible class, and church service this morning. It was as though the messages were especially for us. Even though the swelling in Dan's leg is still a problem, and we are both very tired, our spirits are more peaceful. Let me share with you "in a nutshell" the words that were so helpful in the midst of our struggle...

Our class studied Psalm 139. In verses 23-24, King David wrote, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

That was followed by the sermon in church which pointed us to Romans 8:1, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." How encouraging to be reminded that God does know our hearts, our anxious thoughts, but loves us so much that He will lead us in the way everlasting!

All we have to do is follow Him. Dan and I have chosen to follow Him, to be in Christ Jesus. Even though we have allowed ourselves to be anxious about Dan's health, His grace covers us! Peace and joy are ours tonight. -- Anne and Dan
