Dan

It wasn't enough that Dan had that hard spot in the cavity (which turned out to be a pocket of fluid). Late this afternoon, a leak came in the tube leading from Dan's leg to the JP drain. Naturally the drain quit working. What do you do when you don't know who to call for that problem? Dan has 4 different doctors on this case! It was after hours for all the people who could tell us what to do.

The answer was obvioius, but sometimes we overlook the obvious. Dan finally decided to call the surgeon's answering service...simple! Within minutes, a Dr. phoned, instructed Dan to cut the tube off past the leak and stick the good tube back into the pump. That felt scary...what if the tube won't fit back into the tube. But, within a few minutes, everything was fixed! What a day!!! And, if nothing else unexpected happens, maybe we can get some sleep tonight.
