More Delays
Your prayers worked! I found the perfect flight schedule all the way to Bucharest and back to DFW with upgrades to Business Class all the way. BUT before purchasing the tickets, I had a conversation with the radiologist's PA (The PA stands for Physician's Assistant which means a registered nurse who has advanced education and experience). She explained that Dan's skin may possibly become blistered from the radiation - like a very bad sunburn. If that does happen, he will need treatment at a special center after the radiation is completed. She also said that it is quite possible that he will not have severe radiation burn. But, she said that Dan needs to be in this area for 2 or 3 weeks after radiation just in case.
The other delay that I have mentioned earlier is that instead of beginning the radiation last week, it was delayed until this Friday (today), but then it was delayed until next week Tuesday. They have to wait until they can work him in. THE GOOD NEWS is that the swelling in Dan's leg is very much improved, almost gone! The pocket of fluid in his upper thigh is quite small. We have much to be grateful for.
In the midst of this, a precious couple who have been long time encouragers and helpers sent this card:
"In every circumstance, God is working on our behalf.

designed by the God who loves you completely.
You're in His thoughts every moment --
And they're filled wit the desire to bless you."
This is the wise personal message that they wrote: -- "We plan - and God redirects us...We love you both so much and know you are in His service no matter what road you find yourself on! We are praying for Dan's treatment, strength for you both and a safe and easy transition to Romania when He decides to send you! "
