Dan's Best Day!
Today was a beautiful Spring day with sunshine, temperatures in the high 70's F. Dan had the energy to attend worship service this morning where he led the prayers for Communion. We were blessed to be back in the fellowship to sing, pray, listen to an uplifting lesson, and share hugs with so many dear friends.
In the afternoon we had good phone visits with our son, Bob, and Dutch friends, as well as a Skype visit with some of our "grandchildren" in St. George, Romania.
Concerning Dan's health, his leg continues to swell. But after he got one very large clot to go through the opening in the drain, 190 cc immediately filled the drain pump...and the swelling began to go down. We pray that MD Anderson will phone tomorrow so we can begin the process to get a 2nd opinion from them. We continue praying that the cavity in his thigh will heal soon so that radiation treatment can begin...we pray that God will heal Dan completely through whatever means He chooses.
We always pray that we will simply be tools in His hands, doing His will. Another way to put it is this scripture that has been one of the guiding principles for our lives, "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God," 1 Cor. 10:31 May that always be true of all of us. -- Anne and Dan
