MD Anderson called today. Monday, 25 Feb., Dan begins consultation with Dr. Patrick Lin of MDA about his treatment! Dan will be there 5 - 7 business days. He must repeat all the tests that he had here.

With a gentle tug on the drain tube, the surgeon easily removed the drain from Dan's thigh this afternoon. Because the new pocket inside the cavity in Dan's leg keeps filling with lymph fluid, the surgeon, Dr. Elieson, prescribed daytime wrapping of Dan's entire right leg with an elastic bandage. At night he only has to wrap his right thigh, and sleep with his feet higher than his heart. The body is working to find new pathways for the natural lymph drainage that used to travel through the abductor muscles before they were removed during surgery.

We have accepted an invitation to stay with the mother of some friends of our North Carolina "kids" (Bob and Donna Boyd). After looking at a Houston map, we see that MDA is about a 15 minute drive from her condo near the Galleria.

Please, pray that God will heal the pocket, the cavity, and all cancer cells in Dan's body without doing further damage to Dan's body. We also need prayers for peace, and energy to do what we have to do. We thank all of you who help us by your prayers, messages, and acts of kindness. God takes notice. In fact, Jesus says in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running together will be poured into your lap.
