After polling its members, the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce has decided not to take a position on Measure T, the Devil's Slide tunnel initiative on the Nov. 5 ballot.
According to the chamber, it polled more than 50 percent of its membership by telephone, asking "Do you think the Chamber of Commerce should take a stand on Initiative Measure T, and if so should the stand be yes or no?" The poll revealed strong sentiment against favoring either side with 66 percent of respondents saying the chamber should not take a stand. Twenty-six percent recommended the chamber come out against the measure and 17 percent recommended a favorable stand.
